• The following Terms & Conditions are the standard trading terms for South African safaris. Please note that it may differ to these listed below and will be detailed in your quotation at the time of your enquiry.
     
    Daily Rate includes:

    • 14% Value Added Tax (VAT) on daily rate.
    • Transport to and from Johannesburg / OR Thambo International Airport. Excluding chartered flights that are available on request.
    • Services of Professional hunters, trackers, skinners, caterers and  camp staff.
    •  Safari Vehicle.
    • All transport within hunting area.
    • Accommodation in the hunting area.
    • Daily rate is calculated by overnight stay in camp.
    • All meals and liquor served in camp. (Please advise any specific requirements and we will cater as far as possible)
    • Daily laundry.
    • Field preparation of trophies and delivery to local taxidermist.

     
    Daily Rate exclude:

    • Accommodation before and / after the contracted safari period.
    • International flights and any other flights, commercial or charter.
    • Specially requested imported food and drinks.
    • Telephone calls, faxes and internet use by clients.
    • Trophy and / or license fees of animals.

    (Note: wounded animals will be charged in full PLUS 14% VAT. The same apply on animals if trophy is not exported. No VAT on trophies that get exported)

    • Conservation fund at €10 per trophy taken
    • License fees and Hunting Licenses or permits where applicable.
    • Non refundable license fees including VAT for certain species – i.e. leopard.
    • Processing by taxidermy and shipment of trophies. Client deals directly with taxidermist.
    • Firearm permits.
    • Hire of firearms at €35 / $50(incl. VAT) per day, ammunition at cost.
    • Additional vehicle hire. CDP will endeavor to hire most suitable vehicle and best rate.
    • Other activities.
    • Gratuities to professional hunters and staff.
    • Personal expenses.
     
    • Deposit requirements:
      • To confirm a safari and dates a deposit of 50% of the total daily rate is required.
      • Balance of the daily rate is due 90 days before the start of the safari. Trophy fees and any outstanding costs are payable on completion of the safari, BEFORE departure.
      • On Big Game or specific trophies 50% of the trophy fee is payable at the time of booking.
      • Balance in these cases is due 90 days before the start of the safari.

     

    • Method of payment
      • Transfers only before the start of the safari, on arrival the only type of payment accepted is Travelers cheques or cash.
    • Cancellations
      • Deposits are non refundable. It is recommended that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.
    • Liability
      • While every effort is made to safeguard you and your property, CDPS wants to bring to your attention that you accept the risk involved in participating in this type of safari run by CDPS. CDPS accepts no responsibility and is not liable for any loss, accident or illness arising during and after your safari.
    • Insurance and indemnity

    You are not covered by any insurance while you are on safari. You are advised to take out full medical cover and travel insurance for the duration of   your safari. By booking and paying a deposit for a safari, you are deemed to    have accepted these Liability and Insurance clauses.
     

    • Indemnity and agreement forms must be signed when booking is made.

    ·         Prices are based on the ruling USD ($) ZAR (R) exchange rate at the time of our current brochure going to print. Therefore, prices may change without notice should the exchange rate vary prior to or during your safari.
    CDPS reserves the right to change conditions, prices and terms without prior notice.
